Welcome

profile picMy name is Dr. Donyell and thanks for stopping by.

In 2006, I earned my Ph.D. from the Cognitive and Social Psychology Across the Lifespan (CASPAL) program in the psychology department at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, USA. In fact, I’m the first CASPAL graduate in the world. ;-) (Our department is the only CASPAL department in the world.)

Right now, I am a Research Associate at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute. I am the recipient of a research supplement training grant from the National Cancer Institute. My main research interest center on studying barriers to help seeking and service utilization by African Americans for cancer.

On the personal side, I am the mother of two wonderful teenagers, a daughter (18) and a son (16).
